WOW. It has been an amazing few months back to work.

Starting off in Pittsburgh and wrapping up Spring in Seattle is always a best case scenario.

I have never had so many extended family portrait session requests until this year.

I guess we all just really missed one another. Like “freeze your buns and smile” miss.

You invited all of your family, and friends that might as well be family.

You hopped planes, drove great distances and embraced one another again.

You encouraged me when I shared my ideas and dreams for the future of my art, and me.

We goofed off, caught up, took off our shoes, and put them on, and off, and on.

We got the grandparents with all their grand babies.

Big cousins with little cousins.

Everyone showed up.

Wedding clients graduated into maternity.

(PS this couple got married a few months before the pandemic and their venue shutting down overnight, so let’s hear it for good luck.) XO

We let go. All of us.

I am shooting through meltdowns, we are laughing, taking snack breaks, and embracing the bloopers.

Hey, I am even blogging photos of toddlers falling on the runway. There’s no rules, baby.

We goofed off. Probably laughed too much when the kiddos were misbehaving, because honestly, it makes the photo better. (sorrrrrry) But it’s true.

The kids are allowed to jump on the furniture when Miss Jennie is there, and I am so grateful that you loosen the rules for us.

My family meets up with us when we are done for a BBQ.

I missed an entire year of your family’s life, so I talked your ear off more than usual.

If your kids asked me to get ice cream, I said yes without asking if that was actually okay with you, because i really missed your funny babies this much.

I met your baby boy for the first time, and saw your father’s warm smile on his perfect face.

We reminisced about excellent times and funny stories, and immediately made plans to hang out (without youths) as soon as I got back from Seattle.

In addition to having an incredible 5 days in the PNW, I spent a rainy afternoon with a cutie pie turning one.

Luckily, I had an amazing big sissy/assistant that was able to secure the best smiles.
